We provide a mix of activities
and events with variety to
appeal to all our resident’s
individual tastes, needs and
abilities. Some are planned and
others happen spontaneously

Interacting with animals

We have lambs visiting from
neighbouring farms and also
have visits from “Wayne”
our adopted Donkey and his
friend “Garth” from Ivybridge
Donkey Sanctuary. We also
host an Annual Dog Show.

In-house Entertainment

These include – professional
entertainment, quizzes, bingo,
arts and crafts, exercises,
Tai Chi, sensory & relaxation,
visiting library, tea parties, and
memory lane sessions.

Our “Daily Sparkle” & “Weekly Sparkle”

Reminiscence newspaper
contains news items
relevant to that particular
day or week in history,
stimulating memories and
topics of conversation
between residents, visitors
and carers alike.

Other services on offer

A weekly hair dresser, a
beautician / aromatherapist, a
chiropodist and an in-house
shop selling toiletries, sweets
and treats. Seasonal visits are
provided by a retail clothing
company.

Organised trips

There are also outside trips
organised for shopping,
afternoon tea or a bus ride to a
garden centre or outside event.

Suitable transport and escorts
are provided for external trips.

Residents can also participate
in activities of daily living
- such as baking. Staff
are encouraged to bring
in examples of their own
interests eg art, photography

Participation in all activities and events is purely voluntary and we look forward to residents families making suggestions and actively sharing in the social calendar.
